Canada has experienced a small rise in the fertility rate in recent years. As well, the proportion of all new mothers and fathers receiving benefits has increased over the past decade. This issue of Fascinating Families examines Canada and Quebec's maternity and parental leave programs and includes a side by side comparison of the two programs.
