EXCERPTS

Piruvik Preschool trainers Leah Kippomee and Samantha Koonoo work alongside Iqaluit’s Timikuluit Saipaaqivik childcare educators Olivia Kilabuk, Sheena Kilabuk, Celina Kalluk, Noodloo Peter and Alaira Koonoo in April. Piruvik, which was a recipient of this year’s Arctic Inspiration Prize, was in Iqaluit last month to deliver training on its newly developed Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit-Montessori program. The daycare staff looks on while Leni Ellsworth-Kalluk rolls up her mat following the presentation.
