Abstract:

This overview of child care fee subsidies in Canada is one of the working documents prepared for Quality by Design, an exploratory project intended to generate discussion and debate about strategies for improving quality in early learning and child care at the policy level. Part of the project involves identifying, consolidating and transforming information derived from research and other sources into tools and strategies that can be used to improve the quality of early learning and child care (ELCC).
