Excerpts

The Parksville Child and Family Centre is now home to 111 new $10-a-day child care spaces, as part of the province's ChildcareBC program.

...

Spaces in the ChildCareBC program reduce the average cost of child care for children ages five and under from $1,115 a month for full-time, centre-based care to $200 a month for the same service, according to the provincial government.

...

The investment into affordable childcare spaces has been funded by the provincial and federal governments. The Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement supports the ChildCareBC program, the New Spaces Fund and additional funding through the federal Child Care Infrastructure Fund.
