Objective and Scope

We assessed whether the department has effective processes to verify the accuracy of operator claims, monitor use of funds, and report on the performance of the Child Care Subsidy and Grants Program.

Conclusion

We conclude, based on our audit criteria, that the department has processes to verify operator claims, monitor the use of funds, and report on the performance of the child care program but not all of these processes were effective and the department can improve them.

We made two recommendations to the department.
