As a parent who's struggled finding good child care, I don't need the idea of a hidden Harper agenda to be scared. The Conservative platform that's already out in the open is frightening enough.

I hope all parents will take a hard look at what the Conservative child care policy really adds up to before they vote. What will we get in return for a child care allowance of $1 a day for most of us? Not good early learning experiences for our children, that's for sure. I know this allowance won't help me find or pay for good child care.

While I can understand the impulse to throw the current party out of office, it isn't worth ending up with a government whose policies put our children's future at risk.
