Summary:

NACCRRA has released an update of a 2006 report, Breaking the Piggy Bank: Parents and the High Price of Child Care, on child care prices.

The report presents the results of a 2007 survey of Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) State Networks, which includes the average prices charged for child care for infants and four-year-olds in centers and family child care homes nationwide in 2006.

The data reveals that child care is a major household expense for parents of young children.
