Description: This guide provides an overview of how to develop and embed Inclusion within the policies of your child care program. It outlines the benefits of inclusive child care from both a practical and an ethical point of view. For new child care programs, we have provided background information on what inclusion means, given examples of good policy elements and provided some sample policy statements. For programs that have already developed inclusive policies and practises, this guide will provide an opportunity to revisit and update existing policies.
