On December 9, 2008 IRPP held a seminar at the School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Toronto to discuss the policy directions of child care and family policy.

Available presentations:

- Gordon Cleveland [2] from the University of Toronto discussed his study for IRPP "New evidence on child care in Canada: Use patterns, affordability and quality".

- Sarah Fortin [3] from IRPP discussed the child care system in Quebec.

- Martha Friendly [4] from the Childcare Resource and Research Unit discussed what we know about early childhood education and care, what we do, and what is next.
