Abstract:

As Early Childhood Education and Care services seek to recruit more men as workers, and look for closer involvement with fathers, concerns are also being raised over whether services give sufficient recognition to the development needs of boys.

Issue 23 asks: is masculinity the missing link in ECEC services? And does more attention need to be paid to the needs of boys, and if so how?
