Excerpt from preamble:

On July 15 and 16, 2000, the Canadian Association of Family Resource Programs held a national consultation with representatives of the family resource/family support sector from across Canada to develop this sector's response to the document entitled Public Report: Public Dialogue on the National Children's Agenda Developing a Shared Vision. This position paper clarifies the concept of family support, outlines the basket of services as a minimum requirement and makes recommendations to the National Children's Agenda on behalf of over 2000 family resource programs/centres and related services and the families that use their services
