The Canadian Child Care Federation, Child Care Now (CCN) and the Childcare Resource and Research Unit (CCRR) join together to talk about the historic federal budget 2021. What does it mean for early learning and child care in Canada? What does it mean for Canada's early learning and child care workforce? What does it mean for the economy, women, children and families? What are the next steps and how do we move forward? 

This budget confirms that our decades of advocacy has worked --- statements like universal, accessible, quality, inclusive, affordable and valued early childhood educators, were adopted from all of us who have persistently called on our governments to build such a publicly funded, managed and supported child care system. All of you who have called for true system for early learning and child care never gave up. It's our job now to finish it.
