Child care. Economic recovery. Violence against women. Femicide. Once the election is over, the real work begins. Feminists will be monitoring the new government’s commitment to achieving a national gender-focused recovery.

The panel discussion will walk through emergent themes of a gender transformative recovery as it relates to the 2021 federal political campaign commitments.

The panel will feature:

Katherine Scott, Senior Economist at Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives

Martha Friendly, Executive director and founder of the Toronto-based Childcare Resource and Research Unit

Leila Sarangi, Director of Social Action at Family Services Toronto and National Coordinator of Campaign 2000

Moderated by Emily Haugen, Co-Founder & Operations Director at She Connects
