In a press release emailed Tuesday, the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Learning announced 49 child-care seats were being added in the Glace Bay Youth and Family Centre.

Non-profit New Dawn Enterprises was given the provincial funding to create the child-care spaces as part of an ongoing initiative to increase child-care spots for children ages six and under.
