This meeting describes a full agenda of how we can begin to create a more equal society. In five minutes, each speaker will providing a short and snappy summary of the most important changes governments need to make.

Here are the topics and the speakers:

Ontario child benefit: Laurel Rothman, Family Service Association,

Income support and welfare: Cindy Wilkey, Income Security Action Centre

Affordable housing: Michael Shapcott , Wellesley Institute

Child care: Shani Halfon, Childcare Resource and Research Unit

Post-secondary education: Sarah Jayne King, Ontario chair, Canadian Federation of Students

Gambling: Wayne Olson

Progressive taxes: Toby Sanger, Canadians for Fair Taxation

Capital gains and inheritance tax: TBA

Minimum wages: TBA

Job stabilization, security, employment insurance: TBA

Gender and economic inequality: Deena Ladd, Workers Action Centre

Racialization and economic inequality: Avvy Go, Colour of Poverty Campaign.

Health care: Doug Allan, Ontario Health Coalition
