Description

In this position paper representing CUPE members, the case is made that individuals with credentials in early childhood education and care are best-suited to be the educators in Nova Scotia's new Pre-Primary program. Support is strong for credentialed early childhood professionals with specialized knowledge and practicum training in early years pedagogy, child development and play-based learning appropriate for the early years. Discussion of lessons to be learned from other provinces is also included.
