EXCERPTS

What has child care done for us and our country lately? Well...

It has given our women the equality to be in the work force and share their abilities with the whole society.

It has offered our parents the choice to care for and educate their sons and daughters in many ways.

It has provided our children the care and education in addition to the kind that they (will) receive from school.

It has granted our caregiver-educators the chance to fulfill their vocation to love and teach the young ones as do school-teachers.

It has awarded us, Canadians, the future generations whom we have all raised in love and wisdom to now look after us.

It has presented our country, Canada, the potentials to have a strong economy and be a good example to other nations.

But, for all of our sake, what have our governments done for child care? ....

That is why, no matter how good our child care has been to all of us, it still has not been good enough. That is why we often hear and experience some of its serious problems. That is why Canada is always ranked below many other first-world countries when it comes to child care and learning. That is why our child care does not get all of the people’s support. That is why...

On April 25, 2009, I will inline skate throughout British Columbia. And, next year, I will inline skate across Canada, from St. John’s, N.L. to Victoria, B.C. I dream for our country to have a national system for child care. I dream for all of our provinces, not only Quebec, to excel in child care. I dream to raise a full awareness for child care to all Canadians.

Help me. Dream with me. For you. For me. For our children. Our future.

I Care, You Care, We All Care ‘Bout Child Care!

Please visit the link above for more information and the route map. The skating will begin and go around the country until July 23, 2009.
