18-month-old girl dies at unregistered day home

EXCERPTS:

CALGARY- An investigation is underway after a toddler died at a southern Alberta day home.

Emergency crews were called to a home in Brooks around 3:30 on Monday afternoon. When they arrived, they found an 18-month-old girl who was not breathing.

They were not able to revive her.

The house where she was found is an unregistered day home, where several children are being cared for.

RCMP are now investigating, and say the day home operator is cooperating with the investigation.
