The Prince George School District has provided an update on the construction of a new child care centre in Mackenzie.
Plans for a new 62-space child care centre located at 32 Heather Crescent in Mackenzie were first announced in September 2023 thanks to funding from the federal and provincial governments through the ChildCare BC New Spaces Fund.
“Demolition of the former Mackenzie Elementary school was completed in October 2023 and the project went through a rigorous design and budget process from September 2023 to February 2024,: says the Prince George School District.
