CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION:

In the second half of 2004 the Netherlands has held the presidency of the European Union. Within the scope of this presidency the CMK Foundation for Childcare together with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment organized a 3 day conference on the socio-economic aspects of childcare. A parallel session was held for the policy-makers of the countries of the European Community. A subsidiary goal of the congress was to bring people who hold key positions in the field of childcare in Europe (with special attention to the new EU members), together to exchange views and knowledge.
