Time spent with family during a typical workday, 1986 to 2005

Abstract: This study examines the time workers spend with family members during a typical workday. Using data from four different cycles of the General Social Survey on time use, it documents the evolution of the average time spent with family between 1986 and 2005. In particular, it accounts for factors that can contribute to an understanding of these changes.
