Description: On March 19, 2008 as part of the Lunchbox Series, a colloquium was held by the Social Economy Centre at OISE/UT. The colloquium featured Martha Friendly and Linda White. Martha Friendly discussed the state of early childhood education and care in Canada within the context of the OECD's twenty-nation comparative study. Linda White discussed how the present and future of early childhood education and care is linked to such factors as Canada's welfare state regime and approach to federalism.
