Summary

This clip from the 2008 documentary on the Tusseladen outdoor kindergarten in Tromso, Arctic Norway has been used in outdoor education, primary education, preschool education, forest school, and general education courses around the world. The clip takes you through a day in the arctic outdoor preschool. The children spend at least three days a week outdoors, the educators believe in being prepared for the weather, continuing to learn and play through the various weather conditions. Almost 50 percent of the educators are male, which is much higher than many other preschool programs. The parents spoke to their reasoning for choosing the program, focussing on the importance of outdoor and exploratory play.
