Description from the consultation website:

Did you know that your participation in the public consultation on early learning and child care will have a direct impact on the long-term planning for services in New Brunswick? Such services include child care either in a licensed center, in a private home or perhaps a preschool program.

Tell us what you think are the needs and preferences of families living in New Brunswick including rural families, families with a child who has special needs, families who work shifts, evenings and weekends. All New Brunswickers are invited to participate in the consultation.

[On the website] you will find a link to a discussion paper highlighting the current New Brunswick reality as well as issues around early learning and child care. There are also links to surveys, one for the general public, especially parents, the other for early childhood educators providing services in licensed child day cares. You can call the toll free number 1-866-770-8787 to get a paper copy of the surveys. You also have the option of submitting a brief.

Your answers will help us design a long-term plan to meet the early learning and child care needs of families in New Brunswick.

You have until June 30th, 2007 to complete the survey and/or to submit a brief.
