I hope that voters are paying attention to some vital information in this article. Specifically, the fact that the $1,200 promised by the Conservatives in their child care plan is actually less than that amount.

It may come as a great surprise that the $1,200 would be subject to taxation and clawbacks. Subsequently, families earning from $30,000 to $40,000, for example, would receive only $388 a year (just a bit more than $1 a day).

This is not a tiny detail. I think that many people are anticipating the full $1,200 per year, per child.
