Abstract:

In this issue we meet Creative Scotland Chief Executive, Andrew Dixon as he talks about its role in this, the Year of Creative Scotland. We also learn about pioneering work in West Lothian that is helping looked after children and their parents. Discover why it helps to have a better understanding of child development, and find out if current thinking is on course to redress the balance between rich and poor when it comes to educational outcomes. We discover how new technology is helping to deliver better healthcare to local communities, and learn about the progress being made in achieving the child's Right to Play. There is news from the FAST programme, and an arts project that works with families to build creativity and support.
