The Faculty of Community Services and Health Sciences, with cooperation from the School of Hospitality and Tourism, will host the George Brown Child Care Cook's Day Out and Conference. This annual event, which is held to honour child care cooks in the GTA and other regions, is now the largest of its kind in Canada.
Last year more than 100 guests, including cooks from outside Toronto, arrived to take part in two days of activities, starting with a cooking class and official kick-off on Thursday, April 23. Friday's day-long agenda included workshops, luncheon and food demos.
David Wolfman, a mainstay at Child Care Cook's Day Out who has generously donated his time for the last three years, gave a keynote address and cooking demonstration.
