Ontario's ECEC provincial day of action 2023
The Day of Action will be a chance to connect with families, community members and decision makers, bring attention to the child care workforce crisis and collectively raise our voices: better pay & decent work for educators means better quality and better access for families. Ontario needs a funding formula and workforce strategy that provide good compensation and working conditions and a serious, public plan to expand child care spaces. We need action, NOW!
The OCBCC and the AECEO want to make it as easy as we can for everyone to participate on the Day of Action in any way possible. Check out the Worth More resource page to find tools to help you plan Day of Action activities in your community, including posters, sample letters to share with your staff/board/families, sample agendas and more. Please share this page with others in your community and encourage them to participate too. Every action counts!
We would love to hear about your Day of Action plans and showcase your amazing work to inspire others across the province. Please take a moment to share your plans with us in this form.
Make sure you connect with the AECEO (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and the OCBCC (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) to get the most up-to-date information about the Day of Action and more!
Join the AECEO and OCBCC’s Phone Zap on Monday, June 19th 7:00-8:00PM to demand that Ontario address the workforce crisis and deliver accessible child care expansion now.
