The Honourable Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Honourable Tom Osborne, Minister of Education, will join the Honourable Karina Gould, Federal Minister of Families, Children, and Social Development and Joanne Thompson, Member of Parliament for St. John’s East to provide an update on actions underway within the $347 million Federal-Provincial Early Learning and Child Care Action Plan first announced in July 2021.

The event will take place tomorrow (Wednesday, March 9) at 2:30 p.m. at Ches Penney YMCA Child Care, 35 Ridge Road, St. John’s. The event will be livestreamed on government’s Facebook page.

Media covering the availability will have the opportunity to join in person at the YMCA or by Zoom. To participate, please RSVP by 11:00 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, March 9) to Tina Coffey (tcoffey@gov.nl.ca) who will provide the details and the required information. A media availability will be held immediately following the announcement.
