Diversity and equality guidelines for childcare providers

As part of the National Childcare Strategy 2006-2010, the Diversity and Equality Guidelines are an important addition to the work of the National Childcare Coordinating Committee (NCCC). The guidelines seek to raise awareness of all diversity in the early childhood care and education sector. In this document the authors explore the benefits of differences and why they should and how they can be acknowledged and celebrated. Its aim is to support and equip childcare managers and practitioners with the insights and skills to recognize and work with diversity and equality issues within their settings.
