Excerpts

A Richmond social services organization has opened its first child-care centre on a local school property.

Connections Community Services Society celebrated the opening of the Connections ChildCare Centre at Spul'u'kwuks elementary on Friday, Oct. 10.

This is the organization's first licensed child-care centre, and they partnered with the school district to expand access to early learning in the community.

This would allow B.C. schools to add child-care spaces on school grounds and join B.C.'s Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative program, which can reduce costs for families by up to $900 per child per month.
