Description
This chapter compares the licensing inspection data in non-profit and large-scale corporate childcare centres in Alberta. Data reveal significantly more violations of licensing standards, more complaints and more critical incidents in corporate childcare compared to non-profit childcare programs in similar jurisdictions. These findings have important implications in Canada as corporate childcare continues to expand.
